Each year, City Year South Africa deploys highly motivated and talented service leaders to work in teams of 6-9 young people to serve various organisations and schools in Gauteng. Strong school partnerships are critical for City Year South Africa to effectively support learner and school success. To ensure that all of our learners are prepared with the skills and mindsets to thrive and contribute to their communities, City Year South Africa strives for collaborative, transformative school partnerships.
City Year South Africa partners with a number of institutions for the Amathuba Internship Programme, a two-month long work experience with coaching to help prepare service leaders to transition to the world of work upon graduation.
