As part of the Leadership Development training, City Year uses the “ServeToWork” model to develop its participants to be professional and ready for the world of work. The “ServeToWork” model focuses on providing practical work experience for our participants through the work we do in schools and a rigorous training and leadership development programme. There is an emphasis throughout the year on developing civic knowledge and skills, and equipping young people with the tools to be active, responsible participants in our society.
Service Leaders are provided with both Service Related and Personal Development training, designed to help them be successful as they move on to the next step in their lives, beyond the City Year programme.
