How To Apply

If you meet all the eligibility requirements the next step is to gather the supporting documentation that you will need to submit along with your application.

In order for your application to be considered, it must be submitted along with the following:

  1. A  certified copy of your ID
  2. A certified copy of your matric certificate, or if you are still in matric, a copy of your latest statement of results. Please note, that unless you are currently in matric, a statement of results will not be accepted – you must submit your matric certificate.
  3. An updated copy of your CV.

Unfortunately because of the large volume of applications that we receive, if your submission is missing any of the documents mentioned above, it will not be processed.

Once you have gathered all of the necessary documentation, the next step is to fill in an application form.

You can do that online, by clicking the join us tab then open the recruitment form thereafter email the rest of the documents to recruitsouthafrica@cityyear.org.za


Alernatively you can download an application form by clicking on the button below. Once it has been completed it can be scanned and emailed, or faxed to City Year’s recruitment department.

We recommend that you follow up with us after submitting your application, to make sure that we received it.

Please be patient, as it typically takes 1-3 months to process applications. We will contact you by email or SMS, to notify you if you have made it through the first round of the application process.
